March 2021 Snapshot - The Journey and a 25% Discount!

This past week had one standout morning that for those that follow me on Facebook or Instagram paved the way to a four day series of a single sunrise, but more importantly a spiritual narrative on what our personal journey and destination is.  I really enjoyed many of the responses that those that follow me offered as to the concepts of life's journey and destination...come join the journey...and the discussion.

I am excited to announce that I am working on a Coffee Table Book, so if you are interested in receiving information and updates on this project click on the Signup Button below and let me know that you are interested in the book!

I'm excited to say the least after my photo of "Sunset Buffet" produced as a 24" x 24" on acrylic was selected as the first place winner at the annual Tiddle Caylor All Members Show held at the Port Aransas Art Center.  A 30" x 30" version will also be installed at the new Port Aransas Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center.

Sunset Buffet - I went for a drive this afternoon as it was looking like a good sunset might be in the offing...though my strategy didn't work as planned...but it worked...differently.  Starting at the Birding Center, but decided I had enough White Pelican shots...so off to the beach. As I was waiting to see what would develop, these Sanderlings were running up and down the golden beach buffet line so snapped off a few shots. As I watched the sunset seem to fizzle, I decided it was time for dinner...and 10 minutes later from inside I watched the sky light up...oh well...dinner was good!

After a seemingly unending stretch of gray and dreary weather the colors have again come out...nothing better than a beautiful coastal sunrise or sunset.  What a great time to bring some of this color home, spring is starting to feel like it is just around the corner, and there is light at the end of the tunnel.  Use Coupon Code "Journey25" at checkout and receive 25% on any website purchase including the four shots from the Journey Series or the above Award Winning "Sunset Buffet" shot.

A Path to Follow - It was one of those "follow the nudge" mornings, with color beginning to explode in the sky I left the house...and came to a stop...quieted my mind...and as I drove a short distance up the beach, the path beckoned to me. Stopping and shooting as I walked...I turned around and saw this unfold....the expanse of the dunes and sky above...the destination. If only we'd focus more on our collective journey, a shared path where we could walk together...

"Getting Closer" as we follow our path this morning. In true Texas Spring Break fashion it is cloudy, gray and windy this morning, so I thought we'd continue yesterday's journey along our shared path...a path that is full of joy, hope, challenges, grief, promise, and an occasional test of our faith. For many of us this past year has offered all of that...and more. Hopefully we can look beyond...and know that the best is yet to come...keep the faith!

Almost There - The journey continues this morning as our gray skies again dominated the Spring Break morning patterns. Though I found myself at a different location, nothing I shot evoked an emotional response, and I found myself again pondering a journey...how do we know when we have truly arrived at our destination...are the many detours in life simply waypoints marking our passage, or do we leave a mark however small and seemingly insignificant as we travel?

Destination - So for the last four days we have been on a journey together, each post taking us a little closer to our destination, as we walked a shared path together.  So now, we have crossed over literally and figuratively to our destination...but is the end really the end?  This shared walk the past few days spurred some wonderful thoughts on the meaning of our personal journey and destinations...we are given choices...make them count!  I hope that when this journey is finished that we reflect on each waypoint along the way; at each stop and each stumble, every heartbreak and every joyous moment, each chance encounter with a stranger, and every reunion with family and friends, and realize we have touched lives in an impactful way...even when we didn't know it at the time.

"Gratitude bestows reverence, allowing us to encounter everyday epiphanies, those transcendent moments of awe that change forever how we experience life and the world." ~ John Milton

"Pause and remember - The spiritual path is not always going to be smooth and easy. There are going to be difficult situations, hardships, losses and lessons. Don't lose faith along the way. You are exactly where you need to be."                    ~ Jennifer Young
